Warm your hearts with our Christmas carols and our Good Works!

As many in the Norwin community know firsthand, Norwin choir students will soon be visiting many local neighborhoods to sing carols at the doors of our neighbors and friends and to brighten a cold, dark evening with their smiles and good wishes and accepting any donations for their charity Expressions in Harmony, supporting the HEARTH Shelter in Pittsburgh, a safe haven for abused women and their children.

But, as you know, the Norwin choir students cannot knock on every door and share their smiles with every home in our community. We wanted to offer a way for people to donate if we don't make it to your door. With the money we raise, we feel we can make a difference in the community.

Since 1998, the Norwin Show Choir has planned a caroling extravaganza around the community to fundraise money for the Expressions in Harmony Foundation to "Fill the Stockings" for the children at the HEARTH Shelter in Pittsburgh, PA.

In addition to celebrating the holiday with the families at HEARTH, the foundation has also supported other items needed at the shelter, including upgrading the internet service, filling the pantry, providing each family with swim passes to a local pool, and purchasing winter boots for the children.

In the fall of 2022, the Norwin Show Choir was selected to participate in a national program through Multiplying Good called Students in Action. Students In Action (SIA) is a unique youth service, leadership and recognition program that supports, trains, and empowers today's youth to be leaders, problem solvers, entrepreneurs and impactful global citizens.

Through the involvement with SIA, the Norwin Show Choir and the Expressions in Harmony Foundation decided it was time to extend their service project to contribute in different ways to our community. The Norwin in Action Fund was created to help the Norwin Show Choir students help other needy students. Although this money can help families in various ways, the fund has been used to buy boots and coats, purchase graduation items, and provide holiday meals for families in need.
